John Shaqi

كُنَّا عِنْدَهُ فَذَكَرُوا الْمَاءَ فِي طَرِيقِ مَكَّةَ وَ ثِقْلَهُ فَقَالَ الْمَاءُ لَا يَثْقُلُ إِلَّا أَنْ يَنْفَرِدَ بِهِ الْجَمَلُ فَلَا يَكُونَ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا الْمَاءُ .


Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from Salih Bin Al Sandy, from one of his men, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘We were in his<sup>asws</sup> presence, and they (people) mentioned the water in the road of Makkah, and its heavy (flooding). So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The water is not heavy unless the camel is unique with it, so there does not happen to be upon it except for the water’.
