حَمَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ إِلَى مَكَّةَ فَلَمَّا انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى مَسْجِدِ الْغَدِيرِ نَظَرَ إِلَى مَيْسَرَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ ذَلِكَ مَوْضِعُ قَدَمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) حَيْثُ قَالَ مَنْ كُنْتُ مَوْلَاهُ فَعَلِيٌّ مَوْلَاهُ ثُمَّ نَظَرَ إِلَى الْجَانِبِ الْآخَرِ فَقَالَ ذَلِكَ مَوْضِعُ فُسْطَاطِ أَبِي فُلَانٍ وَ فُلَانٍ وَ سَالِمٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ وَ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ الْجَرَّاحِ فَلَمَّا أَنْ رَأَوْهُ رَافِعاً يَدَيْهِ قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ انْظُرُوا إِلَى عَيْنَيْهِ تَدُورُ كَأَنَّهُمَا عَيْنَا مَجْنُونٍ فَنَزَلَ جَبْرَئِيلُ ( عليه السلام ) بِهَذِهِ الْآيَةِ وَ إِنْ يَكادُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ بِأَبْصارِهِمْ لَمَّا سَمِعُوا الذِّكْرَ وَ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّهُ لَمَجْنُونٌ وَ ما هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعالَمِينَ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Al Hajjal, from Abdul Samad Bin Basheer, from Hassan the camelier who said, ‘I accompanied Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> from Al-Medina to Makkah. So when we ended up to Masjid Ghadeer, he<sup>asws</sup> looked at the left of the Masjid and he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘That is the place Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> set foot in where he<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The one whose Master I<sup>saww</sup> was, so Ali<sup>asws</sup> is his Master’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> looked towards the other side and he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘That is the place of the tents of so and so, and so and so, and Saalim Mawla Abu Huzeyfa, and Abu Ubeyda Bin Al-Jarrah. So when he saw him<sup>saww</sup> raising his<sup>saww</sup> hands, one of them said to the other, ‘Look at his<sup>saww</sup> eyes. They are round like an insane one’. So Jibraeel<sup>as</sup> descended with this Verse <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:68#h51"><a href="/books/quran:68#h51">[68:51]</a></a> And those who disbelieve would almost smite you with their eyes when they hear the Reminder, and they say: He is mad <a href="/#/books/quran:68#h52"><a href="/books/quran:68#h52">[68:52]</a></a> And it is naught but a Reminder to the Worlds</span>’.
