محمد بن یحیٰی نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے محمد بن یحیٰی سے، انہوں نے طلحہ بن زید سے، انہوں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد علیہ السلام سے روایت کی، کہ انہوں نے فرمایا: میں نے علی علیہ السلام کی کتاب میں پڑھا کہ اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ نے مہاجرین و انصار اور یثرب کے لوگوں میں سے جو ان کے ساتھ ملحق ہوئے، ان کے درمیان ایک دستاویز لکھی: کہ ہر لشکر جو غزوہ کرے، وہ مسلمانوں کے مابین معروف اور انصاف کے ساتھ یکے بعد دیگرے کرے — پس بے شک کوئی جنگ جائز نہیں مگر اس کے اہل کی اجازت سے؛ اور پڑوسی نفس کی طرح ہے بغیر کسی نقصان یا گناہ کے؛ اور پڑوسی کی حرمت پڑوسی پر ایسی ہے جیسے اس کی اپنی ماں اور باپ کی حرمت۔ کوئی مومن اللہ کی راہ میں قتال میں کسی دوسرے مومن کے بغیر صلح نہ کرے مگر عدل اور مساوات پر۔

Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Talha Bin Zayd, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah^asws, from his father^asws having said: ‘I^asws read in the Book of Ali^asws that Rasool-Allah^saww wrote an ordinance between the Emigrants and the Helpers and the one who attaches with them from the people of Yasrab that: ‘Every combatant who combats must be with step by step with the enjoining of the good and the equity between the Muslims, for a war is not allowed except by the permission of its rightful ones, and that the neighbour is like the self without harm and sin; and the sanctitiy of the neighbour upon the neighbour is like the sanctity of his own mother and his own father. No Believer should make peace besides a Believer during the fighting in the Way of Allah^azwj except upon justice and equality’.
