ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام نے ایک شخص کے بارے میں دریافت فرمایا اور میں ان کے پاس موجود تھا، تو انہیں بتایا گیا کہ 'اسے محتاجی نے آ لیا ہے'۔ آپ نے فرمایا: 'تو وہ آج کیا کر رہا ہے؟' کہا گیا: 'گھر میں اپنے رب کی عبادت کر رہا ہے۔' آپ نے فرمایا: 'تو اس کی روزی کہاں سے ہے؟' کہا گیا: 'اس کے کسی بھائی کے پاس سے۔' تو ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: 'خدا کی قسم! جو اسے روزی دے رہا ہے وہ اس سے بڑھ کر عبادت گزار ہے۔'

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from his father, from Abu Talib Al sha’rany, from Suleyman Bin Moalla Bin Khunays, from his father who said, ‘Abu Abdullah^asws asked about a man and I was in his^asws presence, so it was said to him^asws, ‘The needfulness (poverty) has hit him’. He^asws said: ‘So what did he do today?’ It was said, ‘In the house worshipping his Lord^azwj’. He^asws said: ‘So from where is his livelihood?’ It was said, ‘From one of his brothers’. So Abu Abdullah^asws said: ‘By Allah^azwj! For the one who provides his livelihood is a superior worshiper than him’.
