Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hisham Bin Salim, from Abu Baseer who said, ‘I asked Abu Ja’farasws about being their (Clan of Umayya’s) office bearers, so heasws said to me: ‘O Abu Muhammad! No, and not (even) for a circumflex (a mark on a letter like <span class="iTxt">Fatah</span>, <span class="iTxt">Kisra</span> etc.) of a pen. One of you would not attain anything from their world except he would lose from his Religion similar to it’, or said: ‘Until he loses from his Religion, similar to it’.
