كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) فِي صَحْنِ دَارِهِ فَمَرَّ بِنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ابْنُهُ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ جُعِلْتُ فِدَاكَ هَذَا صَاحِبُنَا بَعْدَكَ فَقَالَ لَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بَعْدِيَ الْحَسَنُ .

علی بن محمد، جعفر بن محمد الکوفی سے، بشار بن احمد البصری سے، علی بن عمر النوفلی سے، انہوں نے کہا: میں ابو الحسن علیہ السلام کے ساتھ ان کے گھر کے صحن میں تھا کہ ان کے بیٹے محمد ہمارے پاس سے گزرے۔ تو میں نے ان سے کہا: ‘میں آپ پر قربان، کیا یہ آپ کے بعد ہمارا سردار ہے؟’ انہوں نے فرمایا: ‘نہیں۔ میرے بعد تمہارا سردار حسن ہے۔’
Translation
Ali Bin Muhammad, from Ja’far Bin Muhammad Al Kufy, from Bashhar Bin Ahmad Al Basry, from Ali Bin Umar Al Nowfaly who said, ‘I was with Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> in the courtyard of his<sup>asws</sup> house, so Muhammad his<sup>asws</sup> son passed by us. So I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘May I be sacrificed for you<sup>asws</sup>! This one would be our Master after you<sup>asws</sup>?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘No. Your Master<sup>asws</sup> after me<sup>asws</sup> is Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup>’.
