John Shaqi

سُئِلَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْعِنَبِ بِالزَّبِيبِ قَالَ لَا يَصْلُحُ إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ قُلْتُ وَ التَّمْرُ وَ الزَّبِيبُ قَالَ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ .


Translation

Ibn Mahboub, from Abu Ayoub, from Sama’at who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> was asked about the grapes (bartered) with the raisins. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It is not correct except similar with the similar’. I said, ‘And the dates and the raisins?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Similar with similar’.
