Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Safwan, from Is’haq Bin Ammar, from Abu Baseer, from Abu Abdullahasws having said: ‘Do not rent out the land with the dates, nor with the wheat, nor with the barley, nor with the canal, nor with the (water) sprouts’. I said, ‘And what are the canals?’ Heasws said: ‘The drinking spots, and the sprouts are the remnants of the water, but accept it with the gold, and the silver, and the half (produce), and the third, and the quarter’.
