النِّسَاءِ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا كَانَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَ أَمَّا قَوْلُكَ فِي الطَّعَامِ فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) يَأْكُلُ اللَّحْمَ وَ الْعَسَلَ .

محمد بن اسماعیل نے الفضل بن شاذان سے روایت کی، اور علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، سب نے مل کر ابن ابی عمیر سے، انہوں نے ابراہیم بن عبد الحمید سے، انہوں نے سکین النخعی سے — اور وہ عبادت میں مشغول رہتے تھے اور انہوں نے عورتوں (نکاح)، خوشبو اور (اچھا) کھانا چھوڑ دیا تھا۔ پس انہوں نے حضرت ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام کو خط لکھا اور ان سے اس بارے میں دریافت کیا، تو آپ نے انہیں جواب لکھا: «جہاں تک عورتوں کے بارے میں تمہاری بات ہے، تم جانتے ہو کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ کی کتنی ازواج تھیں؛ اور جہاں تک کھانے کے بارے میں تمہاری بات ہے، تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ گوشت اور شہد کھاتے تھے»
Translation
Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Sh<span class="iTxt">Azaan</span>, and Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, altogether from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Ibrahim Bin Abdul Hameedm, (It has been narrated) from Sukeyn Al-Nakhaie and he used to worship and neglect the women, and the perfume, and the (good) food. So he wrote to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> asking him<sup>asws</sup> about that, so he<sup>asws</sup> wrote to him: ‘As for your words regarding the women, so you have known what was for Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> from the women, and as for your words regarding the (good) food, so Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> used to eat the meat and the honey’.
