John Shaqi

زَوِّجُوا الْأَحْمَقَ وَ لَا تُزَوِّجُوا الْحَمْقَاءَ فَإِنَّ الْأَحْمَقَ يَنْجُبُ وَ الْحَمْقَاءَ لَا تَنْجُبُ .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from his father, from the one who narrated it, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘(one may) marry to the stupid man but do not marry the stupid woman, for the stupid man would beget (children who would contribute to the society) but the stupid woman would not beget (will have worthless children)’.
