John Shaqi

عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ الزَّانِيَةُ لا يَنْكِحُها إِلَّا زانٍ أَوْ مُشْرِكٌ قَالَ إِنَّمَا ذَلِكَ فِي الْجَهْرِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ إِنْسَاناً زَنَى ثُمَّ تَابَ تَزَوَّجَ حَيْثُ شَاءَ .


Translation

Humeyd Bin Ziyad, from Al Hassan Bin Muhammad Bin Sama’at, from Ahmad Bin Al Hassan Al Maysami, from Aban, from Hakam Bin Hukeym, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> regarding the Words of the Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:24#h3"><a href="/books/quran:24#h3">[24:3]</a></a> And the adulterer shall not marry any but a adulteress or an idolatress</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘But rather, that is regarding the open (blatant)’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If a person commits adultery, then repents, he can marry wherever he so desires to’.
