قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) الرَّجُلُ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ الْمَرْأَةَ يَتَأَمَّلُهَا وَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى خَلْفِهَا وَ إِلَى وَجْهِهَا قَالَ نَعَمْ لَا بَأْسَ بِأَنْ يَنْظُرَ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى الْمَرْأَةِ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَهَا يَنْظُرَ إِلَى خَلْفِهَا وَ إِلَى وَجْهِهَا .
Translation
Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, from Safwan, from Ibn Muskan, from Al Hassan Bin Al Sirry who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘The man intends to marry the woman, can he look towards her back and to her face?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Yes, there is no problem with the man looking at the woman when he intends to marry her, he can look at her back and to her face’.
