امْرَأَةٍ وَهَبَتْ نَفْسَهَا لِرَجُلٍ أَوْ وَهَبَهَا لَهُ وَلِيُّهَا فَقَالَ لَا إِنَّمَا كَانَ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) وَ لَيْسَ لِغَيْرِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يُعَوِّضَهَا شَيْئاً قَلَّ أَوْ كَثُرَ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from one of his companions, from Abdullah Bin Sinan, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> regarding a woman who gifts herself to a man, or her guardian gifts her to him. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘But rather, that was for Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> and it is not for others except if he were to place something to be for her, be it little or more’.
