إِذَا زَوَّجَ الْأَبُ وَ الْجَدُّ كَانَ التَّزْوِيجُ لِلْأَوَّلِ فَإِنْ كَانَ جَمِيعاً فِي حَالٍ وَاحِدَةٍ فَالْجَدُّ أَوْلَى .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, and Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, altogether from Ibn Abu Umeyr, form Hisham Bin Salim, and Muhammad Bin Hakeym, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘When the father and the grand-father gives in marriage, the (valid) marriage would be of the first one. So if it was together, in one situation, so the grand-father is higher’.
