سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ رَجُلٍ كَانَتْ لَهُ جَارِيَةٌ فَعَتَقَتْ فَتَزَوَّجَتْ فَوَلَدَتْ أَ يَصْلُحُ لِمَوْلَاهَا الْأَوَّلِ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَ ابْنَتَهَا قَالَ هِيَ عَلَيْهِ حَرَامٌ وَ هِيَ ابْنَتُهُ وَ الْحُرَّةُ وَ الْمَمْلُوكَةُ فِي هَذَا سَوَاءٌ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ وَ رَبائِبُكُمُ اللَّاتِي فِي حُجُورِكُمْ مِنْ نِسائِكُمُ . مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَحْبُوبٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ رَزِينٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا ( عليهما السلام ) مِثْلَهُ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Al A’ala Bin Razeyn, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about a man who had a slave girl for him, so he freed her, and married her, so she gave birth. Is it correct for her former master that he marries her daughter?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘She is Prohibited unto him, and she is his daughter, and the free woman and the owned slave girl, with regard to this, are equal’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> recited this Verse <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:4#h23"><a href="/books/quran:4#h23">[4:23]</a></a> and your step-daughters who are in your guardianship, (born) of your wives</span>’. <span style="font-size: small">Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Al A’ala Bin Razeyn, from Muhammad Bin Muslim,</span> from one of the two (5<sup>th</sup> or 6<sup>th</sup> Imam<sup>asws</sup>) – similar to it’.
