Al-Kafi 9886

Translation

Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, from Safwan Bin Yahya, (It has been narrated) from Al-Abd Al-Salih^asws (7^th Imam^asws), said, ‘I said to him^asws, ‘My mother breast-fed a girl with my milk’. He^asws said: ‘She is your sister from the breast-feeding’. So I said, ‘So would it be Permissible for my brother from my mother who did not breast-feed from his milk, meaning not with this pregnancy, but with another pregnancy’. He^asws said: ‘And the stallion (father) is one?’ I said, ‘Yes, she is my sister of my father and my mother’. He^asws said: ‘The milk is of the stallion (father). Your father has become her father, and your mother, as her mother’.
