اَلصَّلاَةِ فَيَرَى حَيَّةً بِحِيَالِهِ هَلْ يَجُوزُ لَهُ أَنْ يَتَنَاوَلَهَا وَ يَقْتُلَهَا قَالَ «إِنْ كَانَ بَيْنَهَا وَ بَيْنَهُ خُطْوَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَلْيَخْطُ وَ يَقْتُلُهَا وَ إِلاَّ فَلاَ.

اور عمار السباتی نے ان سے پوچھا: ایک شخص جو نماز میں ہو اور اپنے سامنے ایک سانپ دیکھے: کیا اس کے لیے جائز ہے کہ وہ اسے پکڑ کر مار ڈالے؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: "اگر اس کے اور سانپ کے درمیان ایک قدم کا فاصلہ ہو تو وہ قدم بڑھا کر اسے مار دے؛ ورنہ نہیں۔"
Translation
Hadith.1072 - Ammar al-Sabati asked him about a man who is in prayer and sees a snake in front of him. Is it permissible for him to step forward and kill it? Imam (as) said: "If there is just one step between him and the snake, then he may step forward and kill it; otherwise, he should not."
