: «تَدْعُو فِي اَلْوَتْرِ عَلَى اَلْعَدُوِّ وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ سَمَّيْتَهُمْ وَ تَسْتَغْفِرُ وَ تَرْفَعُ يَدَيْكَ فِي اَلْوَتْرِ حِيَالَ وَجْهِكَ وَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَحْتَ ثَوْبَكَ.

اور عبد اللہ بن سنان نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے فرمایا: “تم دشمن کے خلاف وتر میں دعا کرتے ہو، اور اگر چاہو تو ان کے نام لے سکتے ہو؛ اور تم استغفار کرتے ہو، اور وتر میں اپنے ہاتھ اپنے چہرے کے برابر اٹھاتے ہو، اور اگر چاہو تو اپنے لباس کو کھول لیتے ہو۔”
Translation
Hadith.1407 - It is narrated from ‘Abdullah ibn Sinan that Abu ‘Abdullah (Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) said: "You may supplicate against the enemy during the Witr prayer, and if you wish, you may name them specifically. You should seek forgiveness, raising your hands during the Witr prayer level with your face, or, if you wish, you may open your cloak (covering) while doing so”.
