: كُنَّا عِنْدَهُ ثَمَانِيَةَ رِجَالٍ فَذَكَرْنَا رَمَضَانَ فَقَالَ «لاَ تَقُولُوا هَذَا رَمَضَانُ وَ لاَ ذَهَبَ رَمَضَانُ وَ لاَ جَاءَ رَمَضَانُ فَإِنَّ رَمَضَانَ اِسْمٌ مِنْ أَسْمَاءِ اَللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لاَ يَجِيءُ وَ لاَ يَذْهَبُ إِنَّمَا يَجِيءُ وَ يَذْهَبُ اَلزَّائِلُ وَ لَكِنْ قُولُوا « شَهْرُ رَمَضٰانَ » فَالشَّهْرُ مُضَافٌ إِلَى اَلاِسْمِ وَ اَلاِسْمُ اِسْمُ اَللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ هُوَ اَلشَّهْرُ «اَلَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ اَلْقُرْآنُ » جَعَلَهُ اَللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مَثَلاً وَ عِيداً ».

اور یہ روایت ہے البزنتی سے، ہشام ابن سالم سے، سعد الخفاف سے، ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے، جنہوں نے فرمایا: ہم اس کے ساتھ آٹھ مرد تھے اور ہم نے رمضان کا ذکر کیا، تو اس نے فرمایا: کہو مت، 'یہ رمضان ہے'، نہ کہو، 'رمضان چلا گیا'، نہ کہو، 'رمضان آ گیا'، کیونکہ رمضان اللہ تعالیٰ کے ناموں میں سے ایک نام ہے، جو آتا نہیں اور جاتا نہیں؛ بلکہ جو آتا اور جاتا ہے وہ فانی چیز ہے۔ لیکن کہو، 'شہر رمضان' کیونکہ ماہ کو نام کے ساتھ جوڑا گیا ہے، اور وہ نام اللہ تعالیٰ کا نام ہے، اور یہ وہ مہینہ ہے جس میں قرآن نازل کیا گیا۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اسے ایک علامت اور جشن بنایا۔
Translation
Hadith.2050 - It is narrated from Al-Bazanti, from Hisham ibn Salim, from Sa’d Al-Khaffaf, from Abu Ja’far (as), who said: "We were with him, eight men, and the topic of Month of Ramadan was mentioned. Imam (as) said: 'Do not say, "This is Ramadan," or "Ramadan has passed," or "Ramadan has come," for Ramadan is one of the names of Allah (swt), the Almighty and Majestic. It does not come or go; it is the transient (month) that comes and goes. Instead, say, "The Month of Ramadan," for the month is attributed to the name, and the name is one of the names of Allah (swt), the Almighty and Majestic. It is the month in which the Quran was revealed. Allah (swt), the Almighty, made it an example and a celebration.'"
