: كُنَّا بِمَكَّةَ فَأَصَابَنَا غَلاَءٌ فِي اَلْأَضَاحِيِّ فَاشْتَرَيْنَا بِدِينَارٍ ثُمَّ بِدِينَارَيْنِ ثُمَّ بَلَغَتْ سَبْعَةً ثُمَّ لَمْ نَجِدْ بِقَلِيلٍ وَ لاَ كَثِيرٍ فَوَقَّعَ هِشَامٌ اَلْمُكَارِي إِلَى أَبِي اَلْحَسَنِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ بِذَلِكَ فَوَقَّعَ إِلَيْهِ «اُنْظُرُوا اَلثَّمَنَ اَلْأَوَّلَ وَ اَلثَّانِيَ وَ اَلثَّالِثَ فَاجْمَعُوهُ ثُمَّ تَصَدَّقُوا بِمِثْلِ ثُلُثِهِ».

3063 - اور یہ روایت ہے عبد اللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے، جنہوں نے فرمایا: ہم مکہ میں تھے، اور قربانی کے جانوروں کی قیمتیں بہت بڑھ گئیں۔ ہم نے ایک دینار میں خریدا، پھر دو دینار میں، پھر سات دینار تک پہنچ گئی۔ پھر ہمیں نہ کم کے لیے نہ زیادہ کے لیے کوئی جانور ملا۔ تو ہشام المکّاری نے اس بارے میں ابو الحسن علیہ السلام کو خط لکھا، اور انہوں نے جواب میں لکھا: ‘‘پہلی، دوسری اور تیسری قیمتوں کو دیکھو، انہیں جمع کرو، پھر اس کا ایک تہائی صدقہ کر دو۔’’
Translation
Hadith.3063 - It is narrated from Abdullah ibn Umar: "We were in Mecca, and the prices of sacrificial animals increased. We bought for one dinar, then for two dinars, and then it reached seven dinars, and after that, we could not find any—neither for a little nor a lot. Hisham al-Mukari wrote to Abu al-Hasan (as) about this, and Imam (as) replied: 'Consider the first price, the second, and the third, add them together, and then give in charity an amount equivalent to one-third of it.'"
