مُكَاتَبٍ يَمُوتُ وَ قَدْ أَدَّى بَعْضَ مُكَاتَبَتِهِ وَ لَهُ اِبْنٌ مِنْ جَارِيَتِهِ وَ تَرَكَ مَالاً قَالَ "يُؤَدِّي اِبْنُهُ بَقِيَّةَ مُكَاتَبَتِهِ وَ يُعْتَقُ وَ يَرِثُ مَا بَقِيَ".

اور جمیل ابن دراج نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی: ایک مکتب کے بارے میں جو اپنی معاہدے کی کچھ ادائیگی کے بعد فوت ہو جاتا ہے، اور اس کا ایک بیٹا ہے جو اس کی بندہ عورت سے ہے اور وہ مال چھوڑ جاتا ہے۔ انہوں نے علیہ السلام فرمایا: “اس کا بیٹا اس کے معاہدے کی باقی رقم ادا کرے گا، آزاد ہو جائے گا، اور جو باقی رہے گا وہ وارث ہوگا۔”
Translation
Hadith.3480 - Jamil ibn Darraj narrated from Abu Abdullah (as), regarding a mukatab (a slave under a contract of emancipation) who dies after having paid part of his contract. He had a son from his bondwoman and left behind wealth. Imam (as) said: "His son shall pay the remaining amount of the contract, be freed, and inherit what remains."
