: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اَللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ مَا كَفَّارَةُ اَلاِغْتِيَابِ قَالَ "تَسْتَغْفِرُ لِمَنِ اِغْتَبْتَهُ كَمَا ذَكَرْتَهُ ".

حفص ابن عمر نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا، "غیبت کی کفارہ کیا ہے؟" آپ نے فرمایا، "تم اس شخص کے لیے استغفار کرو جس کی تم نے غیبت کی، جس طرح تم نے اس کا ذکر کیا۔"
Translation
Hadith.4327 - Hafs ibn Umar narrated from Abu Abdillah (as) that the Messenger of Allah (swt) (peace be upon him and his family) was asked: "What is the expiation for backbiting?" Imam (as) said: "You should seek forgiveness for the one you have backbitten, just as you mentioned him."
