: كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ فِي رَجُلٍ خَطَبَ إِلَيَّ فَكَتَبَ "مَنْ خَطَبَ إِلَيْكُمْ فَرَضِيتُمْ دِينَهُ وَ أَمَانَتَهُ كَائِناً مَنْ كَانَ فَزَوِّجُوهُ وَ إِلاَّ تَفْعَلُوا "تَكُنْ فِتْنَةٌ فِي اَلْأَرْضِ وَ فَسٰادٌ كَبِيرٌ" ".

محمد ابن الولید نے حسین ابن بشار سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو جعفر علیہ السلام کو ایک ایسے شخص کے بارے میں لکھا جس نے مجھ سے شادی کی پیشکش کی، تو انہوں نے لکھا: جو بھی آپ سے شادی کی پیشکش کرے، اگر آپ اس کے دین اور امانت پر راضی ہوں، تو اسے شادی دے دیں، چاہے وہ کوئی بھی ہو؛ اور اگر آپ ایسا نہ کریں تو زمین میں فتنے اور بڑا فساد ہوگا۔
Translation
Hadith.4381 - Muhammad ibn al-Walid narrated from al-Husayn ibn Bashshar, who said: I wrote to Abu Ja'far Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Baqir (as) concerning a man who proposed marriage to someone. Imam (as) replied: "If someone proposes to you, and you are satisfied with his religion and trustworthiness, then marry him, whoever he may be. If you do not do so, there will be 'fitnah (discord) on the earth and great corruption.'"
