رِوَايَةِ عَمْرِو بْنِ شِمْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ يَرْفَعُهُ: أَنَّ أَمِيرَ اَلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ أُتِيَ بِالنَّجَاشِيِّ اَلْحَارِثِيِّ اَلشَّاعِرِ قَدْ شَرِبَ اَلْخَمْرَ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَضَرَبَهُ ثَمَانِينَ ثُمَّ حَبَسَهُ لَيْلَةً ثُمَّ دَعَا بِهِ مِنَ اَلْغَدِ فَضَرَبَهُ عِشْرِينَ سَوْطاً فَقَالَ يَا أَمِيرَ اَلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ضَرَبْتَنِي ثَمَانِينَ سَوْطاً فِي شُرْبِ اَلْخَمْرِ فَهَذِهِ اَلْعِشْرُونَ مَا هِيَ فَقَالَ "هَذَا لِجُرْأَتِكَ عَلَى شُرْبِ اَلْخَمْرِ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ ".

اور عَمْرُو بْنِ شِمْر کی روایت میں، جابر سے، جو اسے اوپر کی طرف منسوب کرتے ہیں: کہ امیرالمؤمنین علیہ السلام کو النجاشی الحارثی، شاعر، جو رمضان کے مہینے میں شراب پی چکا تھا، لایا گیا۔ تو انہوں نے اسے اسیٹھ کوڑے مارے، پھر ایک رات قید کیا۔ پھر اگلے دن اسے بلایا اور بیس کوڑے مارے۔ اس نے کہا، "اے امیرالمؤمنین، تم نے شراب پینے پر مجھے اسیٹھ کوڑے مارے، تو یہ بیس کوڑے کیا ہیں؟" انہوں نے کہا، "یہ تمہاری رمضان کے مہینے میں شراب پینے کی جرات کے لیے ہیں۔"
Translation
Hadith.5089 - In the narration of Amr ibn Shimr from Jabir, who attributed it to the Prophet: Commander of the Faithful (as) was presented with Al-Najashi Al-Harithiyy, the poet, who had consumed alcohol during the month of Ramadan. Imam (as) flogged him eighty lashes, then imprisoned him for a night. The next day, Imam (as) summoned him and flogged him with twenty more lashes. Al-Najashi said: "O' Commander of the Faithful (as), you already flogged me eighty lashes for drinking alcohol. What are these additional twenty for?" Imam (as) replied: "These are for your audacity in drinking alcohol during the month of Ramadan."
