: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ اَلسِّنِّ وَ اَلذِّرَاعِ يُكْسَرَانِ عَمْداً أَ لَهُمَا أَرْشٌ أَوْ قَوَدٌ فَقَالَ "قَوَدٌ" قَالَ قُلْتُ فَإِنْ أَضْعَفُوا لَهُ اَلدِّيَةَ فَقَالَ "إِنْ أَرْضَوْهُ بِمَا شَاءَ فَهُوَ لَهُ".

اور ʿĀṣim ابن Ḥumayd نے ابو بصیر سے روایت کی، جو ابو ʿAbdillāh علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: میں نے ان سے دانت اور بازو کے بارے میں پوچھا جو جان بوجھ کر ٹوٹے ہوں: کیا ان کے لیے ارش ہے یا قصاص؟ انہوں نے فرمایا: "قصاص۔" انہوں نے فرمایا: میں نے کہا، "اگر وہ اسے زیادہ مقدار میں دیہ پیش کریں؟" انہوں نے فرمایا: "اگر وہ اسے جو چاہے خوش کر دیں تو وہ اس کا ہے۔"
Translation
Hadith.5296 - It is narrated by Asim ibn Humaid from Abu Basir from Abu Abdullah (as) who said: I asked Imam (as) about a tooth or an arm that is intentionally broken - does it require compensation (financial payment) or is there retaliation (qisas)? Imam (as) replied: "Retaliation (qisas)." I asked: "What if they offer him blood money instead?" Imam (as) replied: "If he is satisfied with whatever they offer, then it is permissible for him."
