Sahih Muslim 339
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ الْجَعْدِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، فِي هَذَا الإِسْنَادِ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ . وَزَادَ " وَمَحَاهَا اللَّهُ وَلاَ يَهْلِكُ عَلَى اللَّهِ إِلاَّ هَالِكٌ " .

جعفر بن سلیمان نے جعد ابوعثمان سے عبد الوارث کی حدیث کے ہم معنی روایت کی اور یہ اضافہ کیا : ’’یا اللہ نے اسے مٹا دیا او راللہ کے ہاں صرف وہی ہلاک ہوتا ہے جو ( خود ) ہلاک ہونے والا ہے ( کہ اللہ کے اس قدر فضل و کرم کے باوجود تباہی سے بچ سکا ۔ ‘ ‘)
Translation
This hadith has been narrated with another chain of transmitters with the addition of these words:Allah would even wipe out (the evil committed by a man) and Allah does not put to destruction anyone except he who is doomed to destruction
