وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّوسلم كَانَ يَضْرِبُ فِي الْخَمْرِ بِالنِّعَالِ وَالْجَرِيدِ أَرْبَعِينَ . ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِهِمَا وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الرِّيفَ وَالْقُرَى .

انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے جناب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم شراب میں چالیس مار مارتے تھے ٹہنیوں سے اور جوتوں سے اخیر تك
Translation
Anas reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) used to strike forty times with shoes and palm branches (in case of drinking of) wine. The rest of the hadith is the same and there is no mention of pastures and towns
