Sunan Abi Dawud 1657
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ كُنَّا نَعُدُّ الْمَاعُونَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَارِيَةَ الدَّلْوِ وَالْقِدْرِ .

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں ہم ڈول اور دیگچی عاریۃً دینے کو «ماعون» ۱؎میں شمار کرتے تھے۔

Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: During the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) we used to consider ma'un (this of daily use) lending a bucket and cooking-pot
