    Holy Spirit, faithful Guide,
      Ever near the Christian's side,
    Gently lead us by the hand,
      Pilgrims in a desert land;
    Weary souls fore'er rejoice,
      While they hear that sweetest voice,
    Whispering softly, 'Wanderer, come!
      Follow me, I'll guide thee home.'
