=Slope, Concave.=--A slope is concave when the actual slope of a hill offers no obstruction to an observer standing on the crest from seeing the foot of the slope. In this case the upper slopes of the hill are steeper than the lower slopes. =Slope, Convex.=--A slope is convex when an observer standing on the crest is unable, through the slope of the hill bulging out, to see the foot of the slope.
