أَبُو بَصِيرٍ دَخَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَ مَعِي غُلَامٌ يَقُودُنِي خُمَاسِيٌّ لَمْ يَبْلُغْ فَقَالَ لِي كَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا احْتَجَّ عَلَيْكُمْ بِمِثْلِ سِنِّهِ أَوْ قَالَ سَيَلِي عَلَيْكُمْ بِمِثْلِ سِنِّهِ

علی بن محمد اور ایک اور، سہل بن زیاد سے، یعقوب بن یزید سے، مصعب سے، مسعدہ سے، ابو بصیر سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: ابو بصیر نے کہا: میں ان کے پاس داخل ہوا، اور میرے ساتھ ایک لڑکا تھا جو مجھے لے کر چل رہا تھا، جو پانچ سال کا تھا اور ابھی بالغ نہیں ہوا تھا۔ تو انہوں نے مجھ سے فرمایا: تمہارا کیا حال ہوگا جب تم پر اس کی عمر کے مانند کسی کے ذریعے حجت قائم کی جائے گی؟ یا انہوں نے فرمایا: اس کی عمر کے مانند کوئی تم پر اختیار سنبھالے گا۔
Translation
Ali Bin Muhammad, and someone else, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Yaqoub Bin Yazeed, from Mus’ab, from Mas’ada, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>. Abu Baseer said, ‘I went over to him<sup>asws</sup> and with me was a boy, guiding me, being of five years old, not having attained adulthood. So he<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘How would you be (reacting) when it is argued against you with the likes of his age?’ Or he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Or a successor<sup>asws</sup> upon you with the likes of his<sup>asws</sup> age?’.
