حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ الثُّمَالِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَنَا مِنْ أَعْلَى عِلِّيِّينَ وَ خَلَقَ قُلُوبَ شِيعَتِنَا مِمَّا خَلَقَنَا وَ خَلَقَ أَبْدَانَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ ذَلِكَ فَقُلُوبُهُمْ تَهْوِي إِلَيْنَا لِأَنَّهَا خُلِقَتْ مِمَّا خُلِقْنَا ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتابَ الْأَبْرارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ. وَ ما أَدْراكَ ما عِلِّيُّونَ. كِتابٌ مَرْقُومٌ. يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ وَ خَلَقَ عَدُوَّنَا مِنْ سِجِّينٍ وَ خَلَقَ قُلُوبَ شِيعَتِهِمْ مِمَّا خَلَقَهُمْ مِنْهُ وَ أَبْدَانَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِ ذَلِكَ فَقُلُوبُهُمْ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ لِأَنَّهَا خُلِقَتْ مِمَّا خُلِقُوا مِنْهُ ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتابَ الفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٍ. وَ ما أَدْراكَ ما سِجِّينٌ. كِتابٌ مَرْقُومٌ .

مُحَمَّد بن اسماعیل نے مجھ سے، ابو حمزہ ثمالی سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو جعفر (عليه السلام) کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: بے شک اللہ نے ہمیں اعلیٰ علیّین سے پیدا کیا، اور ہمارے شیعہ کے دلوں کو اسی چیز سے پیدا کیا جس سے ہمیں پیدا کیا، اور ان کے جسموں کو اس سے نیچے سے پیدا کیا۔ پس ان کے دل ہماری طرف مائل ہوتے ہیں کیونکہ وہ اسی چیز سے پیدا کیے گئے ہیں جس سے ہم پیدا کیے گئے تھے۔ پھر انہوں نے یہ آیت تلاوت کی: "ہرگز نہیں! بے شک نیک لوگوں کا نامۂ اعمال یقیناً علیّین میں ہے۔ اور تم کیا جانو کہ علیّون کیا ہے؟ ایک لکھا ہوا دفتر، جسے مقربین دیکھتے ہیں۔" اور اس نے ہمارے دشمن کو سجّین سے پیدا کیا، اور ان کے پیروکاروں کے دلوں کو اسی چیز سے پیدا کیا جس سے انہیں پیدا کیا، اور ان کے جسموں کو اس سے نیچے سے پیدا کیا۔ پس ان کے دل ان کی طرف مائل ہوتے ہیں کیونکہ وہ اسی چیز سے پیدا کیے گئے ہیں جس سے وہ پیدا کیے گئے تھے۔ پھر انہوں نے یہ آیت تلاوت کی: "ہرگز نہیں! بے شک بدکاروں کا نامۂ اعمال یقیناً سِجِّین میں ہے۔ اور تمہیں کیا معلوم کہ سِجِّین کیا ہے؟ ایک لکھی ہوئی کتاب۔"
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Khalid, from Abu Nahshal who said, ‘Muhammad Bin Ismail narrated to me, from Abu Hamza Al Sumaly who said, ‘I heard Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Created us<sup>asws</sup> from the High Illiyeel, and Created the hearts of our<sup>asws</sup> Shias from what He<sup>azwj</sup> Created us<sup>asws</sup> with, and Created their bodies from (a substance) below that. Therefore, their hearts tend to incline towards us<sup>asws</sup> because these have been created from what we<sup>asws</sup> have been created with’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> recited this Verse <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:83#h18"><a href="/books/quran:83#h18">[83:18]</a></a> Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyeen. <a href="/#/books/quran:83#h19"><a href="/books/quran:83#h19">[83:19]</a></a> And what will make you know what the highest Iliyeen is? <a href="/#/books/quran:83#h20"><a href="/books/quran:83#h20">[83:20]</a></a> It is a written book, <a href="/#/books/quran:83#h21"><a href="/books/quran:83#h21">[83:21]</a></a> Those of Proximity witness it</span>. (He<sup>asws</sup> said): ‘And He<sup>azwj</sup> Created our<sup>asws</sup> enemies from Sijjeen, and Created the hearts of their adherents from it, and their bodies from below that. Therefore, their hearts incline towards them because these have been created from what those have been Created from’. Then he<sup>asws</sup> recited this Verse <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:83#h7"><a href="/books/quran:83#h7">[83:7]</a></a> Nay! most surely the record of the wicked is in the Sijjeen. <a href="/#/books/quran:83#h8"><a href="/books/quran:83#h8">[83:8]</a></a> And what will make you know what the Sijjeen is? <a href="/#/books/quran:83#h9"><a href="/books/quran:83#h9">[83:9]</a></a> It is a written book</span>’.
