John Shaqi

سُئِلَ عَنِ الْفَوَاحِشِ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَ مَا بَطَنَ قَالَ مَا ظَهَرَ نِكَاحُ امْرَأَةِ الْأَبِ وَ مَا بَطَنَ الزِّنَا .


Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Al Nazar Bin Suweyd, from Yahya Al Halby, from Amro Bin Abu Al Miqdam, from his father, (It has been narrated) from Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘He<sup>asws</sup> was asked about <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:7#h33"><a href="/books/quran:7#h33">[7:33]</a></a> the immoralities, those of which are apparent as well as those that are concealed</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The apparent is the marriage with the wife of one’s father, and the concealed is the adultery’.
