كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) أَنِّي اجْتَنَبْتُ طَلَبَ الْوَلَدِ مُنْذُ خَمْسِ سِنِينَ وَ ذَلِكَ أَنَّ أَهْلِي كَرِهَتْ ذَلِكَ وَ قَالَتْ إِنَّهُ يَشْتَدُّ عَلَيَّ تَرْبِيَتُهُمْ لِقِلَّةِ الشَّيْءِ فَمَا تَرَى فَكَتَبَ ( عليه السلام ) إِلَيَّ اطْلُبِ الْوَلَدَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَرْزُقُهُمْ .

اور اس سے، بکر بن صالح سے، اس نے کہا: میں نے ابو الحسن (علیہ السلام) کو لکھا کہ میں نے پانچ سال سے اولاد کی طلب سے پرہیز کیا ہے، اور اس کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ میری اہلیہ نے اسے ناپسند کیا اور کہا: 'مال کی کمی کی وجہ سے ان کی پرورش مجھ پر بہت سخت ہے۔ تو آپ کی کیا رائے ہے؟' تو آپ (علیہ السلام) نے مجھے لکھا: 'اولاد طلب کرو، کیونکہ اللہ عزوجل انہیں رزق دے گا۔'
Translation
And from him, from Bakr Bin Salih who said, ‘I wrote to Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup>, ‘I kept aside from seeking the children since five years ago, and that is because my wife disliked that, and she said, ‘It is difficult upon me, their upbringing, due to the scarcity of the things. So what is your<sup>asws</sup> view’. So he<sup>asws</sup> wrote to me: ‘Seek the children, for Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic would Sustain them’.
