إِنَّ أَوْلَادَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مَوْسُومُونَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ شَافِعٌ وَ مُشَفَّعٌ فَإِذَا بَلَغُوا اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً كَانَتْ لَهُمُ الْحَسَنَاتُ فَإِذَا بَلَغُوا الْحُلُمَ كُتِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ السَّيِّئَاتُ .

محمد بن یحیی نے احمد بن محمد بن عیسیٰ سے، انہوں نے محمد بن یحیی سے، انہوں نے طلحہ بن زید سے، انہوں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: بے شک مسلمانوں کی اولاد اللہ کے نزدیک شافع اور مشفع (یعنی سفارش کرنے والی اور جن کی سفارش قبول ہو) کے طور پر نشان زد ہے۔ پس جب وہ بارہ سال کی عمر کو پہنچیں، تو ان کے لیے نیکیاں لکھی جاتی ہیں۔ اور جب وہ بلوغت کو پہنچیں، تو ان پر گناہ لکھے جاتے ہیں۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Isa, from Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Talha Bin Zayd, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘The children of the Muslim are named ones in the Presence of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> as intercessors and interceded ones. So when they reach twelve years of age, the good deeds are Written for them. So when they reach the puberty, (then) the evil deeds are Written against them’.
