أَمْهِلْ صَبِيَّكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ لَهُ سِتُّ سِنِينَ ثُمَّ ضُمَّهُ إِلَيْكَ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ فَأَدِّبْهُ بِأَدَبِكَ فَإِنْ قَبِلَ وَ صَلَحَ وَ إِلَّا فَخَلِّ عَنْهُ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, from a number of our companions, from Ali Bin Asbaat, from Yunus Bin Yaqoub, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Respite your child until there come for him six years; then attach him to yourself for seven years, so his etiquettes would be by your etiquettes. So if he accepts and corrects (fine), or else loosen him’.
