قَدِمَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) بِالْكُوفَةِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي طَلَّقْتُ امْرَأَتِي بَعْدَ مَا طَهُرَتْ مِنْ مَحِيضِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ أُجَامِعَهَا فَقَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) أَشْهَدْتَ رَجُلَيْنِ ذَوَيْ عَدْلٍ كَمَا أَمَرَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَقَالَ لَا فَقَالَ اذْهَبْ فَإِنَّ طَلَاقَكَ لَيْسَ بِشَيْءٍ .
Translation
Sahl, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Sama’at, from Umar Bin Yazeed, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘A man came over to Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> at Al-Kufa, so he said, ‘I divorced my wife after she was clean from her menstruation, before I slept with her’. So Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Did you get two just witnesses just as Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic had Commanded?’ So he said, ‘No’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Go, for your divorce is not with anything’.
