قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْأَرْضِ فَتَبَسَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى بَعَثَ جَبْرَئِيلَ ( عليه السلام ) وَ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَخْرِقَ بِإِبْهَامِهِ ثَمَانِيَةَ أَنْهَارٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْهَا سَيْحَانُ وَ جَيْحَانُ وَ هُوَ نَهَرُ بَلْخَ وَ الْخشوع وَ هُوَ نَهَرُ الشَّاشِ وَ مِهْرَانُ وَ هُوَ نَهَرُ الْهِنْدِ وَ نِيلُ مِصْرَ وَ دِجْلَةُ وَ الْفُرَاتُ فَمَا سَقَتْ أَوِ اسْتَقَتْ فَهُوَ لَنَا وَ مَا كَانَ لَنَا فَهُوَ لِشِيعَتِنَا وَ لَيْسَ لِعَدُوِّنَا مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا مَا غَصَبَ عَلَيْهِ وَ إِنَّ وَلِيَّنَا لَفِي أَوْسَعَ فِيمَا بَيْنَ ذِهْ إِلَى ذِهْ يَعْنِي بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَ الْأَرْضِ ثُمَّ تَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ قُلْ هِيَ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا فِي الْحَياةِ الدُّنْيا الْمَغْصُوبِينَ عَلَيْهَا خالِصَةً لَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ بِلَا غَصْبٍ .

محمد بن یحیی، محمد بن احمد سے، محمد بن عبد اللہ بن احمد سے، علی بن النعمان سے، صالح بن حمزہ سے، ابان بن مصعب سے، یونس بن ظبیان سے، یا المعلی بن خنیس سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے کہا: “اس زمین میں سے آپ کے پاس کیا ہے؟” تو آپ مسکرائے، پھر فرمایا: بے شک اللہ، بابرکت اور بلند و برتر، نے جبرئیل علیہ السلام کو بھیجا اور اسے حکم دیا کہ اپنی بڑی انگلی سے زمین میں آٹھ نہریں پھاڑ دے۔ ان میں سیحان اور جیحان ہیں، اور یہ بلخ کی نہر ہے، اور الخشوع ہے، اور یہ شاش کی نہر ہے، اور مہران ہے، اور یہ ہند کی نہر ہے، اور مصر کا نیل، اور دجلہ، اور فرات ہیں۔ پس جو کچھ یہ سیراب کرے، یا جس سے پانی لیا جائے، وہ ہمارے لیے ہے؛ اور جو کچھ ہمارے لیے ہے وہ ہمارے شیعہ کے لیے ہے۔ اور ہمارے دشمن کا اس میں کوئی حصہ نہیں مگر وہ جو اس نے غصب کیا ہو۔ اور بے شک ہمارا ولی اس میں بہت زیادہ وسیع مقام میں ہے جو اس اور اس کے درمیان ہے، یعنی آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان۔ پھر انہوں نے یہ آیت تلاوت کی: "کہہ دو: یہ ان لوگوں کے لیے ہیں جو دنیا کی زندگی میں ایمان لائے—جن سے یہ غصب کیے گئے—اور قیامت کے دن یہ خالصتاً انہی کے لیے ہوں گے، بغیر کسی غصب کے۔"
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad, from Muhammad Bin Abdullah Bin Ahmad, from Ali Bin Al Numan, from Salih Bin Hamza, from Aban Bin Mus’ab, from Yunus Bin Zabyan, or al Moalla Bin Khunays who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, ‘What have you all (Imams<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>) to do from the earth?’ So he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> smiled, then said: ‘Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Blessed and High Sent Jibraeel<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> and Commanded him<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> that he<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> furrows eight rivers by his<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup> big toe in the earth – from these is Sayhan, and Jayhan, and it is the river Balkh, and Al-Khashou, and it is River Shash, and Mihran, and it is a river of India, and Nile of Egypt, and Dajla, and Euphrates. So whatever is watered from or drawn, so it is for us<sup>asws</sup>, and whatever was for us<sup>asws</sup> so it is for our<sup>asws</sup> Shias, and there isn’t anything from it for our<sup>asws</sup> enemies except what they have usurped upon, and that our<sup>asws</sup> friends would be in (a place) more capacious in what is between this to this, meaning between the sky and the earth’. Then he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> recited this Verse <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:7#h32"><a href="/books/quran:7#h32">[7:32]</a></a> Say: These are for the Believers in the life of this world</span> the ones usurped upon<span class="ibTxt"> especially on the Day of Judgement</span> without being usurped’.
