محمد بن یحیی، محمد بن احمد سے، ابو عبداللہ الرازی سے، الحسن بن علی بن ابی حمزہ سے، ان کے والد سے، ابو بصیر سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت ہے، جنہوں نے فرمایا: میں نے ان سے کہا: “کیا امام پر زکات ہے؟” تو انہوں نے علیہ السلام فرمایا: “تم نے ایک ناممکن بات کہی ہے، اے ابو محمد۔ کیا تم نہیں جانتے کہ دنیا اور آخرت امام کے لیے ہیں؟ وہ اسے جہاں چاہے رکھتا ہے اور جسے چاہے دیتا ہے۔ یہ اللہ کی طرف سے اس کے لیے جائز ہے۔ بے شک امام، اے ابو محمد، کبھی ایک رات بھی نہیں گزارتا مگر یہ کہ اس کی گردن میں اللہ کا ایک حق ہوتا ہے جس کے بارے میں وہ اس سے سوال کرے گا۔”

Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Ahmad, from Abu Abdullah Al Razy, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Bin Abu Hamza, from his father, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah^asws, said, ‘I said to him^asws, ‘Is there any <span class="iTxt">Zak</span>ā<span class="iTxt">t </span>upon the Imam^asws?’ So he^asws said: ‘You have spoken an impossibility, O Abu Muhammad! Do you not know that the world and the Hereafter is for the Imam^asws? He^asws can place it wherever he^asws so desires to and hands it over to whoever he^asws so desires to. That is allowed for him^asws from Allah^azwj. The Imam^asws, O Abu Muhammad, does not sleep at night, ever, and in his^asws neck is a Right of Allah^azwj, Asking him^asws about it’.
