سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ مِمَّنْ خَلَقْنا أُمَّةٌ يَهْدُونَ بِالْحَقِّ وَ بِهِ يَعْدِلُونَ قَالَ هُمُ الْأَئِمَّةُ .

الحسین بن محمد، معلیٰ بن محمد سے، وہ الوشاء سے، وہ عبداللہ بن سنان سے، جنہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے اللہ عزوجل کے اس قول کے بارے میں پوچھا: “اور جنہیں ہم نے پیدا کیا ہے ان میں ایک جماعت ہے جو حق کے ساتھ ہدایت کرتی ہے اور اسی کے ذریعے انصاف کرتی ہے۔” انہوں نے علیہ السلام فرمایا: “وہ ائمہ ہیں۔”
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moalla Bin Muhammad, from Al Washa, from Abdullah Bin Sinan who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:7#h181"><a href="/books/quran:7#h181">[7:181]</a></a> And of those whom We have Created are a people who are Guiding with the Truth and thereby they are doing justice</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘They<sup>asws</sup> are the Imams<sup>asws</sup>’.
