تَعَالَى هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتابَ مِنْهُ آياتٌ مُحْكَماتٌ هُنَّ أُمُّ الْكِتابِ قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) وَ الْأَئِمَّةُ وَ أُخَرُ مُتَشابِهاتٌ قَالَ فُلَانٌ وَ فُلَانٌ فَأَمَّا الَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ أَصْحَابُهُمْ وَ أَهْلُ وَلَايَتِهِمْ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ ما تَشابَهَ مِنْهُ ابْتِغاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَ ابْتِغاءَ تَأْوِيلِهِ وَ ما يَعْلَمُ تَأْوِيلَهُ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَ الرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) وَ الْأَئِمَّةُ ( عليهم السلام).

الحسین بن محمد، معلیٰ بن محمد سے، محمد بن اعورمہ سے، علی بن حسن سے، عبد الرحمن بن کثیر سے، ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے، ان کے، بلند و برتر، قول کے بارے میں: وہی ہے جس نے آپ پر کتاب نازل فرمائی؛ اس میں محکم آیات ہیں—وہی کتاب کی اصل ہیں۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: “امیر المؤمنین علیہ السلام اور ائمہ۔” اور کچھ متشابہ ہیں۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: “فلاں اور فلاں۔” پھر رہے وہ لوگ جن کے دلوں میں کجی ہے— ان کے ساتھی اور ان کی ولایت کے اہل۔ تو وہ اس میں سے متشابہ کی پیروی کرتے ہیں، فتنہ کی تلاش میں اور اس کی تاویل کی تلاش میں؛ اور اس کی تاویل کو اللہ کے سوا کوئی نہیں جانتا، اور علم میں راسخ لوگ۔ امیر المؤمنین علیہ السلام اور ائمہ علیہم السلام۔
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moalla Bin Muhammad, from Muhammad Bin Awrama, from Ali Bin Hassan, from Abdul Rahman Bin Kaseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> regarding the Words of the Exalted <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:3#h7"><a href="/books/quran:3#h7">[3:7]</a></a> He is the One Who has Revealed the Book to you; some of its Verses are Decisive, they are the Mother of the Book</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> and the Imams<sup>asws</sup> <span class="ibTxt">and others are Allegorical</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘So and so and so and so. <span class="ibTxt">then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity </span>- their companions and the people of their wilayah <span class="ibTxt">they follow the part of it which is allegorical seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation; but none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who are firmly rooted in the Knowledge</span> - Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> and the Imams<sup>asws</sup>’.
