John Shaqi

سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً مَمْلُوكَةً ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا ثُمَّ اشْتَرَاهَا بَعْدُ هَلْ تَحِلُّ لَهُ قَالَ لَا حَتَّى تَنْكِحَ زَوْجاً غَيْرَهُ .


Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, and Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, altogether from Usman Bin Isa, from Sama’at who said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about a man who married an owned woman, then divorced her, then bought her afterwards. Is she Permissible for him?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘No, until she marries another husband’.
