علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے محمد بن سنان سے، انہوں نے اس غلام سے جسے ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام نے آزاد کیا — 'یہ وہ ہے جو جعفر بن محمد علیہما السلام نے آزادی دی: انہوں نے اپنے سندھی غلام فلاں کو اس شرط پر آزاد کیا کہ وہ گواہی دے گا کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، وہ اکیلا ہے، اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں؛ اور محمد (ص) اس کے بندے اور رسول ہیں؛ اور بعث حق ہے؛ اور جنت حق ہے؛ اور جہنم حق ہے؛ اور اس شرط پر کہ وہ اللہ کے دوستوں سے دوستی رکھے گا اور اللہ کے دشمنوں سے بیزاری اختیار کرے گا، اور اللہ کے حلال کو حلال مانے گا اور اللہ کے حرام کو حرام قرار دے گا، اور اللہ کے رسولوں پر ایمان لائے گا اور جو اللہ کی جانب سے آیا ہے اس کا اقرار کرے گا۔ میں اسے اللہ کے چہرے کے لیے آزاد کرتا ہوں، اس سے کوئی بدلہ یا شکریہ نہیں چاہتا، اور کسی کو اس پر بھلائی کے سوا کوئی حق نہیں ہوگا۔' گواہ: فلاں شخص۔

Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, (It has been narrated) from Muhammad Bin Sinan about a slave emancipated by Abu Abdullah^asws – ‘This is what Ja’far^asws Bin Muhammad^asws emancipated his^asws slave, the deed of so and so upon (the stipulation) that he would testify that there is no god except for Allah^azwj, One, there being no associate for Him^azwj, and that Muhammad^saww is His^azwj servant and His^azwj Rasool^saww, and that the Resurrection is true, and that the Paradise is true, and that the Fire is true, and upon (the stipulation) that he would befriend the friends of Allah^azwj, and would disavow from the enemies of Allah^azwj, and would permit the Permissibles of Allah^azwj, and would prohibit the Prohibitions of Allah^azwj, and he would believe in Rasool-Allah^saww and agree with what he^saww came with from the Presence of Allah^azwj. I^asws hereby emancipate him for the Face of Allah^azwj, not intending by it a Recompense, nor thanks, and there is no way upon him for anyone except with goodness’. Witnessed by so and so.
