قَرَأْتُ عِتْقَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) فَإِذَا هُوَ شَرْحُهُ هَذَا مَا أَعْتَقَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَعْتَقَ فُلَاناً غُلَامَهُ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لَا يُرِيدُ بِهِ جَزَاءً وَ لَا شُكُوراً عَلَى أَنْ يُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةَ وَ يُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَاةَ وَ يَحُجَّ الْبَيْتَ وَ يَصُومَ شَهْرَ رَمَضَانَ وَ يَتَوَلَّى أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّهِ وَ يَتَبَرَّأَ مِنْ أَعْدَاءِ اللَّهِ شَهِدَ فُلَانٌ وَ فُلَانٌ وَ فُلَانٌ ثَلَاثَةٌ .

محمد بن یحیی نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے الحسین بن سعید سے، انہوں نے ابراہیم بن ابی البلاد سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام کا آزادنامہ پڑھا، تو اس کا متن یوں تھا: 'یہ وہ ہے جو جعفر بن محمد نے آزاد کیا — انہوں نے فلاں کو، اپنے غلام کو، اللہ کی خاطر آزاد کیا، اس سے کوئی بدلہ یا شکریہ نہیں چاہتے، اس شرط پر کہ وہ نماز قائم کرے، زکوٰة دے، بیت اللہ کا حج کرے، رمضان کے مہینے کا روزہ رکھے، اللہ کے اولیاء سے دوستی رکھے، اور اللہ کے دشمنوں سے بیزاری اختیار کرے۔' گواہی دی فلاں نے، اور فلاں نے، اور فلاں نے — تین (افراد)۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Ibrahim Bin Abu Al Balaad who said, ‘I read the emancipation (deed) of Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, for its starting was – ‘This is what Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> Bin Muhammad<sup>asws</sup> has emancipated, an emancipation of so and so slave of his<sup>asws</sup> for the Face of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, not intending by it a Recompense, nor thanks, upon (the stipulation) that he would establish the Prayer, and give the <span class="iTxt">Zakat</span>, and perform Hajj of the House (Kabah), and Fast the Month of Ramazan, and would befriend the friends of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> and would disavow (reject) from His<sup>azwj</sup> enemies’. Testified by so and so, and so and so, and so and so’ – Three (of them)’.
