John Shaqi

إِذَا كَاتَبَ الرَّجُلُ مَمْلُوكَهُ وَ أَعْتَقَهُ وَ هُوَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّ لَهُ مَالًا وَ لَمْ يَكُنِ اسْتَثْنَى السَّيِّدُ الْمَالَ حِينَ أَعْتَقَهُ فَهُوَ لِلْعَبْدِ .


Translation

Ibn Mahboub, from Ibn Bukeyr, from Zurara, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘When the man contracts his owned slave, and emancipates him, and he knows that for him would be wealth, and did not happen to make an exclusion for the wealth when he emancipated him, so it is for the slave’.
