سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ أُمِّ الْوَلَدِ قَالَ أَمَةٌ تُبَاعُ وَ تُورَثُ وَ تُوهَبُ وَ حَدُّهَا حَدُّ الْأَمَةِ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Mahboub, from Ali Bin Raib, from Zurara, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about a mother of the child. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘She can be sold, and inherited, and gifted, and her legal penalty (<span class="iTxt">Hadd</span>) is a legal penalty (<span class="iTxt">Hadd</span>) of the slave girl’.
