اللَّهِ تَعَالَى إِنَّ الَّذِينَ ارْتَدُّوا عَلى أَدْبارِهِمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ما تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْهُدَى فُلَانٌ وَ فُلَانٌ وَ فُلَانٌ ارْتَدُّوا عَنِ الْإِيمَانِ فِي تَرْكِ وَلَايَةِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) قُلْتُ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى ذلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قالُوا لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا ما نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ قَالَ نَزَلَتْ وَ اللَّهِ فِيهِمَا وَ فِي أَتْبَاعِهِمَا وَ هُوَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ الَّذِي نَزَلَ بِهِ جَبْرَئِيلُ ( عليه السلام ) عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) ذلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قالُوا لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا ما نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ فِي عَلِيٍّ ( عليه السلام ) سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ قَالَ دَعَوْا بَنِي أُمَيَّةَ إِلَى مِيثَاقِهِمْ أَلَّا يُصَيِّرُوا الْأَمْرَ فِينَا بَعْدَ النَّبِيِّ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) وَ لَا يُعْطُونَا مِنَ الْخُمُسِ شَيْئاً وَ قَالُوا إِنْ أَعْطَيْنَاهُمْ إِيَّاهُ لَمْ يَحْتَاجُوا إِلَى شَيْءٍ وَ لَمْ يُبَالُوا أَنْ يَكُونَ الْأَمْرُ فِيهِمْ فَقَالُوا سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ الَّذِي دَعَوْتُمُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَ هُوَ الْخُمُسُ أَلَّا نُعْطِيَهُمْ مِنْهُ شَيْئاً وَ قَوْلُهُ كَرِهُوا ما نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ وَ الَّذِي نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ مَا افْتَرَضَ عَلَى خَلْقِهِ مِنْ وَلَايَةِ أَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) وَ كَانَ مَعَهُمْ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ وَ كَانَ كَاتِبَهُمْ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ أَمْ أَبْرَمُوا أَمْراً فَإِنَّا مُبْرِمُونَ أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّا لا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَ نَجْواهُمْ الْآيَةَ .

اور اس سند کے ذریعے، ابو عبد اللہ (عليه السلام) سے اس قول کے بارے میں: اللہ، بلند و برتر کا: “بے شک وہ لوگ جو ہدایت ان پر واضح ہو جانے کے بعد اپنی ایڑیوں کے بل پلٹ گئے” “فلاں، اور فلاں، اور فلاں نے امیر المؤمنین (عليه السلام) کی ولایت چھوڑنے میں ایمان سے رجوع کر لیا۔” میں نے کہا: “اس کا قول، بلند و برتر:” “یہ اس لیے ہے کہ انہوں نے ان لوگوں سے کہا جنہیں اللہ کے نازل کردہ حکم سے ناگواری تھی: ہم اس معاملے کے بعض حصے میں تمہاری بات مانیں گے۔” اس نے کہا: “اللہ کی قسم! یہ ان دونوں اور ان کے پیروکاروں کے بارے میں نازل ہوا، اور یہ اللہ، غالب و جلیل، کا قول ہے جسے جبرئیل (عليه السلام) محمد (صلى الله عليه وآله) پر لے کر نازل ہوئے۔” “یہ اس لیے ہے کہ انہوں نے علی (عليه السلام) کے بارے میں اللہ کے نازل کردہ حکم کو ناپسند کرنے والوں سے کہا: ہم اس معاملے کے بعض حصے میں تمہاری بات مانیں گے۔” اس نے کہا: “انہوں نے بنو امیہ کو اپنے عہد کی طرف بلایا کہ نبی (صلى الله عليه وآله) کے بعد امر ہمارے درمیان نہ رکھا جائے، اور ہمیں خمس میں سے کچھ نہ دیا جائے۔ اور انہوں نے کہا: اگر ہم یہ انہیں دے دیں تو انہیں کسی چیز کی حاجت نہ رہے گی، اور انہیں اس کی پروا نہ ہوگی کہ امر ان ہی میں ہو۔ پس انہوں نے کہا: ہم اس معاملے کے بعض حصے میں تمہاری بات مانیں گے جس کی طرف تم نے ہمیں بلایا ہے، اور وہ خمس ہے: کہ ہم اس میں سے انہیں کچھ نہ دیں۔” اور اس کے قول: ‘انہوں نے اس کو ناپسند کیا جو اللہ نے نازل فرمایا’ کا مطلب یہ ہے: وہ چیز جو اللہ نے نازل فرمائی، یعنی وہ جو اس نے اپنی مخلوق پر امیر المؤمنین (عليه السلام) کی ولایت کو فرض کیا۔ اور ابو عبیدہ ان کے ساتھ تھا، اور وہ ان کا کاتب تھا۔ پس اللہ نے نازل فرمایا: ‘یا انہوں نے کسی معاملے کا پختہ ارادہ کر لیا ہے؟ تو بے شک ہم بھی پختہ ارادہ رکھنے والے ہیں۔ یا کیا وہ یہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ ہم ان کی سرگوشی اور ان کی خفیہ مشاورت نہیں سنتے؟’ — آیت۔
Translation
And by this chain, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> regarding the Words of the Exalted <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:47#h25"><a href="/books/quran:47#h25">[47:25]</a></a> Surely (as for) those who turn back on their backs after that Guidance has become manifest to them</span>: ‘So and so, and so and so, and so and so reneged from the <span class="iTxt">Eman</span> regarding the neglect of the Wilayah of Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup>’. I said, ‘(What about) the Words of the Exalted <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:47#h26"><a href="/books/quran:47#h26">[47:26]</a></a> That is because they say to those who hate what Allah has Revealed: We will obey you in some of the affairs</span>?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It was Revealed, by Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, regarding the two of them, and regarding their follower, and these are the Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic which Jibraeel<sup>as</sup> descended with unto Muhammad<sup>saww</sup> <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:47#h26"><a href="/books/quran:47#h26">[47:26]</a></a> That is because they say to those who hate what Allah has Revealed</span> regarding Ali<sup>asws</sup> <span class="ibTxt">We will obey you in some of the affairs</span>’. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘The Clan of Umayya called to their covenant that the command will not come to be among us<sup>asws</sup> after the Prophet<sup>saww</sup> nor should we<sup>asws</sup> be given anything from the fifth (<span class="iTxt">Khums</span>), and they said, ‘If we were to give it to them<sup>asws</sup>, they would not be needy to anything and they<sup>asws</sup> would not care if the command happens to be among them<sup>asws</sup>’. So they said, ‘We shall obey you in some of the matters which you are calling us to, and it is the Khums, we shall not give them<sup>asws</sup> anything from it’. And His<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Words <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:47#h26"><a href="/books/quran:47#h26">[47:26]</a></a> hate what Allah has Revealed</span> is what Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Revealed and which Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Revealed what Necessitated upon His<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> creatures from the Wilayah of Amir Al Momineen<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, and it was so that with them was Ubeyda, and he was their scribe, so Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Revealed <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:43#h79"><a href="/books/quran:43#h79">[43:79]</a></a> Or have they settled an affair? So We are the Settlers. <a href="/#/books/quran:43#h80"><a href="/books/quran:43#h80">[43:80]</a></a> Or do they think that We do not Hear what they conceal and their secret discourses?</span> – the Verse’.
