إِنَّ ثَوْراً بِالْكُوفَةِ ثَارَ فَبَادَرَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ بِأَسْيَافِهِمْ فَضَرَبُوهُ فَأَتَوْا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ( عليه السلام ) فَسَأَلُوهُ فَقَالَ ذَكَاةٌ وَحِيَّةٌ وَ لَحْمُهُ حَلَالٌ .

علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے صفوان سے، انہوں نے عیص بن القاسم سے، انہوں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: کوفہ میں ایک سانڈ بھاگ کھڑا ہوا تو لوگ اپنی تلواریں لے کر اس کی طرف لپکے اور اسے مار ڈالا۔ پھر وہ امیر المومنین علیہ السلام کے پاس آئے اور پوچھا، تو آپ نے فرمایا: یہ زندہ ہوتے وقت کی ذبح ہے اور اس کا گوشت حلال ہے۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Safwan, from Ays Bin Al Qasim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘A bull at Al-Kufa went on rampage, so the people followed it with their swords, so they struck it down. So they came to Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup>, and they asked him<sup>asws</sup>. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘A vivid slaughter, and its flesh is Permissible’.
