سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ ذَبِيحَةٍ ذُبِحَتْ لِغَيْرِ الْقِبْلَةِ فَقَالَ كُلْ وَ لَا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ مَا لَمْ يَتَعَمَّدْهُ قَالَ وَ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ ذَبَحَ وَ لَمْ يُسَمِّ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ نَاسِياً فَلْيُسَمِّ حِينَ يَذْكُرُ وَ يَقُولُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ عَلَى أَوَّلِهِ وَ عَلَى آخِرِهِ .

علی بن ابراہیم نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے حماد بن عیسیٰ سے، انہوں نے حریز سے، انہوں نے محمد بن مسلم سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے ایک ذبیحہ کے بارے میں پوچھا جسے قبلہ کے علاوہ کسی اور طرف رخ کر کے ذبح کیا گیا ہو۔ آپ نے فرمایا: کھاؤ، اس میں کوئی حرج نہیں، جب تک کہ جان بوجھ کر نہ کیا ہو۔ انہوں نے کہا: اور میں نے آپ سے اس آدمی کے بارے میں پوچھا جس نے ذبح کیا اور بسم اللہ نہ پڑھی۔ آپ نے فرمایا: اگر وہ بھول گیا ہو تو جب یاد آئے بسم اللہ پڑھے اور کہے: بسم اللہ اس کے اول پر اور اس کے آخر پر۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Hammad Bin Isa, from Hareyz, from Muhammad Bin Muslim who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about a slaughtered animal slaughtered towards other than the Qiblah. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Eat, and there is no problem with that for as long as it was not deliberate’. He (the narrator) said, ‘And I asked him<sup>asws</sup> about a man who slaughtered and did not Name (<span class="iTxt">Bismillah</span>), so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If he had forgotten, so let him Name when he remembers, and he should be saying, ‘In the Name of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> upon its beginning and upon its ending’.
