قُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّا نَتَّخِذُ الطَّعَامَ وَ نَسْتَجِيدُهُ وَ نَتَنَوَّقُ فِيهِ وَ لَا نَجِدُ لَهُ رَائِحَةَ طَعَامِ الْعُرْسِ فَقَالَ ذَلِكَ لِأَنَّ طَعَامَ الْعُرْسِ فِيهِ تَهُبُّ رَائِحَةٌ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ لِأَنَّهُ طَعَامٌ اتُّخِذَ لِلْحَلَالِ .
Translation
Ali Bin Muhammad Bin Bundar, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from one of the Iraqis, from Ibrahim Bin Uqba, from Ja’far Al Qalanasy, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘I said to him<sup>asws</sup>, ‘We take the food, and we make it good, and are choosy in it, but we do not find for it the aroma of the food of the weddings’. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘That is because the food of the wedding, in it is a gift of an aroma from the Paradise, because it is a meal taken for the Permissible’.
